Dr. Fresno was born in Argentina and attained her medical degree in Buenos Aires. After completing her residency in Flint, Michigan, she moved to San Diego in 1989 and began her career as a board-certified pediatrician.
Through her practice and parent workshops, Dr. Fresno has been an active advocate for children’s health throughout the South Bay. She was also a contributor to the weekly publication Dra. de Guardia.
As a mother of two young adults, Dr. Fresno, is well-aware of a parent’s needs during the various stages of childhood and is committed to teaching and empowering families to raise happy and healthy children.

Dr. Mariles Valencia, MD
Dr. Valencia is a board-certified pediatrician with over two decades of experience.
She was raised in the Philippines and earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. After completing her residency at the Methodist Hospital of Indiana, Dr. Valencia relocated to San Diego and started her career in pediatric health.
Her friendly and perceptive personality has made her a favorite among teens and young mothers.

Jaime is family nurse practitioner with a wealth of knowledge in pediatric care.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Jaime graduated from Universidad Nacional Autonoma. His early years in pediatrics were based in Tijuana and Mexico City, where his practice focused on intensive care and emergency medicine. After immigrating to San Diego with his family, Jaime has continued to care for infants and young children as a provider at Pediatrics in Paradise.
Along with his vast experience in the world of children’s health, Jaime’s kindness and humility win the confidence of his patients and their families.
Julie Jamison, PNP
Julie Jamison, PNP
Julie is a pediatric nurse practitioner from Jacksonville, Florida.
She attended the University of South Florida and treated children as a registered nurse, prior to becoming a nurse practitioner in 2012. Throughout that time, she gained invaluable experience while working in pediatric intensive care.
Julie’s passion for children’s health shines through with the warmth and enthusiasm she brings to the clinic each day.
Alyssa Cituk, PA-C
Alyssa Cituk, PA-C
Alyssa is a certified physician assistant from Denver, Colorado.
She attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and graduated in 2006, earning an associate degree in child health and a master’s degree in health science. Shortly afterwards, Alyssa moved to San Diego with her husband and four children and began working for the gastroenterology department at Rady Children’s Hospital.
Since joining Pediatrics in Paradise, Alyssa has continued her commitment to the health and well-being of her young patients.
